CLASS DESCRIPTIONS OPEN/DROP IN CLASSES (No pre-registration required – all members may attend) Relive "Aerobics" with this sweat inducing class. The Zumba® Gold workout is a slower version of Zumba for older adults. Class will be taught by Zumba® Instructor Lynne Menard. Class is coed. The Zumba® workout provides long-term fitness benefits through exhilarating, high calorie-burning fitness classes and its simple Latin and international dance moves increase the fun factor. The routines feature fast and slow rhythms which, when combined, successfully tone and sculpt the body while burning fat. Class will be taught by Zumba® Instructor Patti Beaudin. Class is coed. We have taken the best of the best and packaged an intense program that will rev your metabolism and tone your body. New noon class format that combines cardio,strength and core conditioning into one action-packed 35 minute class. This is a 12 week energizing boot camp style program. Is an interval style class that combines stationary boxing/martial arts conditioning drills andsimple coreographed movement patterns. It's not too complex, as our members execute better technique and get a better workout when we keep it simple. Intervals are used for recovery or to increase intensity - it depends on the participant. Combine interval-style bench step movements with light resistance/high repetition muscle training and you have BOOT CAMP. BOOT CAMP is designed to train your cardiovascular system and develop muscular endurance in the same workout and is appropriate for beginners to experienced fitness buffs – as the participant controls the level of intensity. Prepare to sweat at BOOT CAMP. Strengthen core muscles to improve posture and stretch for relaxation and stress reduction. This class combines the best of our core exercises and an invigorating, focused stretching component to give you a new perspective on the important balance between “stretch and strength”. (Core Stretch evening classes focus on the “how-to” aspects of core conditioning) A fun, fast-paced class using BOSU trainers, steps and weights for a total body workout – all in 35 minutes. FITNESS INTERVAL TRAINING (FIT) This Co-ed training program is aimed at improving cardiovascular conditioning, strength and endurance. Classes may include use of benches, BOSU trainers, bands, bars, dumbbellls... if the equipment is in the room we’ll likely be using it. Classes will include cardiovascular and strength/endurance intervals. Beginners are welcome - as the classes are designed to allow participants to select the appropriate level of intensity. This is a 35 minute Noon our program that combines cardio sequences (may include steps and/or BOSU trainers) with muscular conditioning *intervals* to give you a great overall body workout. Classes start on time to get you back to work. NOON CLASSES *FLIP* M/F and W each month. Watch master schedule for changes. TRX Training uses your own body weight as resistance – so the workout can be as challenging as you want to make it. TRX classes consist of a 35-minute workout using the innovative TRX Suspension system.
SESSION BASED CLASSES (Pre-registration required) * Basic Training is an instructor-guided training program for women. The focus is on strength and cardiovascular training. Workouts will focus on major muscle group exercises for the upper and lower body and will include some drill-based cardiovascular activities Workouts include use of barbells and dumbbells, BOSU and BOSU Ballast balls, stability balls, medicine balls and bench steps.
